Hi, I'm Kevin McDonald.
For more than 20 years, I’ve helped individuals experiencing traumatic stress in Oregon, Nevada, Washington, and California. I studied psychology, philosophy and science at City College of San Francisco, and American River College in Sacramento. In 2017 I became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through training provided by the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
I’ve had extensive leadership and facilitation training through the Mankind Project International. As a civilian contractor, I graduated from the US Army’s leadership training program. And I served my country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. From 1997 to 2000 I studied with Master Michael Ajay in the martial art of Tong Soo Do. I believe that the connection between mind and body is a strong one. I have practiced meditation since 1986. I also believe that physical health and emotional health are closely related. By keeping our bodies strong and healthy, we nurture resilience and remain open to the challenges in life.
I provide support and guidance to help you remove the obstacles that stand in the way of achieving your goals. I work with a wide range of clients and offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual. In a supportive atmosphere, I help clients attain the emotional, personal, and professional growth they're striving for.
In my practice, as in my life, I am a staunch ally of my brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ community and I am deeply committed to serving all who may suffer from traumatic stress.
I’ve been happily married to my wife Linda for ten years.
